Tuesday/October 27

4.21 mi(run)/34:50/First run in well over a week. I took a whole week off to rest after that tough 40k Ekiden run. I tried to take it easy and enjoy the moment. Probably ran a bit fast coming in.

Saturday/October 24

ALTA/LOST my tennis match this week against Richmond Glen. We got our butts kicked this morning and my team only took one point. I am not to disappointed seeing that we had to forfeit 2 of the 5 matches. We did take 1 point which is all we needed to win the division~! Next Saturday the playoffs start and we will have home court advantage.

Here are the results from my match: 4-6; 0-6

The last set was rather embarrassing. I think we pretty much gave up.

Oh well, I am looking forward to the playoffs and a better result come next Saturday!

Dirty Spokes Ekiden 40k Trail Running Race 2009/Finishing Time: 3:38

Wow, way to go team! I ran in a 40k mile race with 3 others today! It was pretty cool. I have never done this before and it was a trail run. Not only was it a trail run, but a brutal trail run. It was muddy, hilly, rugged, and very tough. I am happy to say that I ran the first leg in a very nice pace, but I ran the second leg faster! I was hoping that I would be able to run a negative split and I did! Yeah! Our team actually placed second in our age group(161-200). We finished in 3:38. See results below:

1st Leg of Race Results

3.1 mi/26:30/I was well pleased with my pacing on the first leg. Coming in, I fought not to run too hard. Once I noticed I was running a 6:40 pace, I slowed down and coasted in.






2nd Leg of Race Results

3.1 mi/25:49/I felt pretty good after trying to take the first leg pretty easy. I actually felt pretty refreshed and thought that I ran this leg much better.

Saturday/October 17

ALTA/Won my tennis match this week against Woodland Park. I struggled greatly, but Armond came through and carried me as we won in a 3rd set tie breaker.

3-6; 6-4; 7-6

My team(East Cobb Swim and Tennis) took 4 of 5 matches this week, so we are still in 1st place and held on to a comfortable division lead! Way to go TEAM!

6.2 mi(run)/48:48/Another great tempo run this morning. Did not get to run on Wednesday due to the rain. I finished pretty strong today and the adductor felt great with no pain. Yeah!

6.2 mi(run)/49:33/Wow, what a difference a day off makes. Man, I felt great today. I guess you can say my run was more of a tempo run cause I picked it up a good bit coming in today. Great run!

4.2 mi(run)/34:46/Nice run after taking a 3 day break. I had planned to do a 10 miler, but just did not have the time.

ALTA/Won my tennis match this week. Pretty good match with Glen Abbey.
Won, 7-6; 6-2

We had to go to a tie breaker on the first set, but we won the tie break pretty easily and did not have any problems in the 2nd set.

We took 4 of 5 matches this week, so we are still in 1st place! Way to
go TEAM!

6.1 mi(run)/50:22/Whew! Very fast run with Bill. I ran much faster than I had planned, but wow, it felt really good. The lower adductor felt good and was pain-free.
