I have absolutely nothing to report by way of running. Wow, I can't recall the last time I went for a whole week without running and I was not injured. This week was a tough week for me with my allergies. It looks like the pollen is here and man, I have had sinus issues all week long. I am taking my allergy medicine now and feeling much better. I hope to make up for all of those missed runs this week. Hope everyone had a much better week of running than I did. Hope everyone that ran the ING today had a good run and was able to meet your goals!
KEEP RUNNING!

Nothing better than a good run! I've been running for over 30 years and find myself enjoying it more every run. Running marathons is a thing of the past for me. I'm extremely proud to have been able to complete 14 marathons. These days, my goals have changed and I have enjoyed running 1 1/2 marathon a month. Woot! Running 3-4 times a week is good enough. Spending time with my wife and kiddos, Juliana(14) and Jessa(13) are priority for me these days. GR8FL!

March 16-March 22
Well, not a bad week of training. Did not get in as many miles as I had hoped for, but I am happy. I missed one day this week due to a make-up ALTA tennis match. I also missed my long run on Saturday due to ALTA. I will be doing my long runs on Sunday for now since tennis is on Saturday. I will also probably start riding my bike on Monday's since the weather is warming up and becoming nicer.
Here are this week's results:
Monday: REST
Tuesday: 10.2 mi/1:27:30/Nice run after a 4 day break. Did not feel great at the beginning of the run, but I ran plenty of hills and it turned out to be a good run!
Wednesday: ALTA Tennis
Thursday: 6.2 mi/54:28/Nice, easy run w/Dan! I felt pretty good seeing that I played tennis the night before till 10:30.
Friday: REST
Saturday: ALTA
Sunday: 6.1 mi/55:51/Nice, easy run with Stef before her debut half-marathon!
Weekly Miles: 22.5 mi
So, all in all, not too bad of a week. I am hopeful for a better week this week as far as getting in more miles. I am looking forward to getting my bike out and putting in some miles in on it! Hope everyone has had a great week and good luck to my friend Stef who I have been helping train for the ING Half-Marathon on Sunday. I am certain that you are going to do a GREAT job. Good luck to all running GA ING and I hope everyone has a GREAT week of training!!

March 9-March 15
This week has been a pretty good week. I did not get nearly as many miles as last week, but no biggie. I did miss my Wednesday run due to bad weather, but not much I could do about that. The ALTA tennis season started this weekend, so I did not get a long run in on Saturday. It actually rained all day on Saturday so my match was cancelled.
Monday: REST
Tuesday: 5.3 mi/47:14/Great run seeing that I played tennis the night before and my lower adductor was killing me. No pain while I was running though, yea!
Wednesday: REST
Thursday: 9.8 mi/1:26:24/Nice hilly run after 1 day of rest! I felt great the entire run!
Friday: REST
Saturday: RAIN
Sunday: ALTA TENNIS
Weekly Miles: 15.1 mi
Well, not nearly as many miles as last week, but I am so happy with my results from this week. Thanks to all of the rain, I missed several runs. Of course, that seems to be the problem lately. Run a lot of miles one week and then fall off and run few the falling week.
This week is bound to be much better. Hey, I registered for the Peachtree Road Race today! I am happy to have gotten in and ready to have myself a great run. Hope everyone was able to get more miles in than myself!

March 2-March 8
Wow, it feels so good to be back at it and getting in some good miles. This week was a very productive week with a lot of miles. My long run on Sunday was a very good one that could have been even better. I will continue do what I did this past week as the temperatures continue to get better and better. Man, Sunday's weather was just gorgeous. I could have done without the wind during the run, but nevertheless, still a good one!
Here are this week's results:
Monday: REST
Tuesday: 6.2 mi/51:54/Nice run after a 4 day lay-off. Took my time and did not push myself too hard.
Wednesday: 9.8 mi/1:23:44/Great 10 miler and I ran with no pain and I had a lot of hills!
Thursday: 4.3 mi/38:10/Very easy run where I took my time and it was very hard slowing down! Felt great!
Friday: REST
Saturday: 6.2 mi/1:19:36/Nice, easy run with Allen in Buckhead.
Sunday: 13.4 mi/2:20:09/Nice long run with Stef...good job Stef!
Weekly Miles: 39.9 mi

This week I will continue the usual runs with probably some different routes. I start ALTA tennis this week and I will be practicing tennis on Monday evenings which is fine because I don't normally run on Monday's. I am hoping not to get injured this time as my wife reminded me today that this is what led to my lower adductor injury. I am still on the sidelines for the ING Georgia Half-Marathon. I am considering volunteering with my buddy Allen instead of running the race. There is no doubt that I can run it, I just think I may need to lay low and not go out and try to push it. It is very difficult for me to run a race and not do it competitively. Oh well, must be a male thing. Have a GREAT week of running!
