6.1 mi(run)/51:44/Good six mile run. I was planning to meet my friend Dan at 6:00 this morning, but overslept, sorry Dan. I probably needed the extra rest. Very comfortable run with some rolling hills.
Nothing better than a good run! I've been running for over 30 years and find myself enjoying it more every run. Running marathons is a thing of the past for me. I'm extremely proud to have been able to complete 14 marathons. These days, my goals have changed and I have enjoyed running 1 1/2 marathon a month. Woot! Running 3-4 times a week is good enough. Spending time with my wife and kiddos, Juliana(14) and Jessa(13) are priority for me these days. GR8FL!

September 21-September 27
This week was a week of a whole lot of raining. Wow, I can't recall the last time we have had so much rain in GA. It was so bad that school was canceled for two days. Wow. I am not going to complain about the time off. Although I missed one day of running, I am still pleased with my week of training.
Here are this week's results:
Monday: RAIN, again!
Tuesday: 6.1 mi(run)/50:36/Nice run after several days off due to all the rain in the ATL. As always, I ran too fast.
Wednesday: 4.1 mi(run)/35:06/Good evening run for the first time in a long time. I have been running in the a.m., so this p.m. run went really well and I felt great the entire run!
Thursday: 5.2 mi(run)/48:06/Nice morning run with Dan at Roswell Area Park, considering I ran 12 hours earlier. Lot's of hills, but I felt really good and I was not too tired. We finished pretty strong a well!
ALTA Tennis/Won(6-0;6-1)
Friday: REST
Saturday: ALTA Tennis/Won(6-7;6-2;6-4)Wow, what a long match. We literally played for nearly 3 hours. Great match though, good job Armond! The match was a bit more challenging than Thursday's romp!
Sunday: Happy Birthday to LJ!
Weekly Miles: 15.4 miles(run)
As I said, I did not get in quite as many miles as I would have liked. With all the tennis that I played, I think it probably evens out all those miles that I missed. This week, I will try to pick up my miles and try not to miss any days. I am going to start updating my blog daily this week as opposed to doing it once a week as I have been doing the last few years. Also, I in the process of rearranging my entire blog. Look for the updates over the next several weeks. Hope everyone is staying dry and did not have any flood damage.
KEEP RUNNING!

September 14-September 20
Rain, Rain go away, come again another day! Wow, it has been raining every single day this week. Oh well, I guess we need it. This week was a total wash. I did not get any exercising in hardly. I was able to run a couple of times, but that is about it.
Here are this week's results:
Monday: Yardwork
Tuesday: 4.2 mi(run)/36:16/Easy 4 miler after a day off from running. Felt well rested and took it easy.
Wednesday: Unable to run(rain)
Thursday: 5.1 mi(run)/48:05/Nice run with Dan at Roswell Area Park. We had to slow down midway as we were going to fast.
Friday: REST
Saturday: REST(ALTA match got rained out, of course!)
Sunday: REST
Weekly Miles: 9.3 miles(run)
I think it was a good thing that it rained so much this week cause it allowed me to get some REST that I probably needed. Also, it allowed me to not do any running. As much as I hate to admit it, it was a wise decision. Of course, I really did not have a choice with all the rain.
This week, I hope to get some miles in and maybe have a week like I did two weeks ago. Hope everyone is staying dry! This time next week, I will be celebrating my 41st birthday! Have a super week!

September 7-September 13
Excited! This is exactly how I feel after a very good week of running! I started the week thinking I would run 6 mile runs each day. Although that did not happen, I am totally content in getting in the miles that I got in. I could have easily done the 6 milers, but due to time, I was unable to do so. That being said, I am totally ready to put in more miles and feeling pretty good about the progress being made. As you can see, I was able to finish the week with an awesome 10 mile run!
Here are this week's results:
Monday: 6.1 mi(run)/50:56/Great 6 mile run on a lovely Labor Day morning. Nice and cool, probably ran too fast, but it felt great!
Tuesday: 4.2 mi(run)/35:42/Easy run today with some pickup at the end. I felt great considering I ran 6 on Monday.
Wednesday: 6.2 mi(run)/53:26/Very easy and slow run. I started out very slow on purpose and finished the last mile very strong. I felt great with no pain in the adductor.
Thursday: 5 mi(run)/47:03/Easy run with Dan at Roswell Area Park. Took our time and ran a very comfortable slow pace.
Friday: SPIN
Saturday: ALTA TENNIS/Won(6-4;6-4)
Sunday: 10 mi/1:26:40/Awesome 10 miler with many hills and it was a pain-free run! I felt great and took my time during the run!
Weekly Miles: 31.5 miles(run)
Well, I just finished my longest run in a few months. Wow, that 10 miler felt so great and the weather was perfect! I felt so good the entire run and I really did take it easy. I was not able to run quite as slow as I would have liked, but I think I ran slow enough. This week, I will probably cut back on my miles again and only do 4 milers. Hopefully, I can get another 10 miler in next weekend! Hope everyone had a great week of training!
