Saturday/January 30

4 mi(run)/36:32/Very nice run. Probably my best run yet. I felt pretty good and decided to do my usual stretching and then do some adductor stretches after the run. I ran faster than previous runs and probably should have slowed down. I also did some adductor stretches last night. I really wanted to run further and I could have easily, but chose not to overdo it. I walked up the very first hill as it was pretty steep, but then ran several smaller hills. Great run!

Thursday/January 28

3.2 mi(run)/30:51/Nice, easy, slow run this morning. Whew! It was pretty cold. The adductor was not nearly as sore as previous runs and felt pretty good throughout the run. I did some lunges before and after the run.

Monday/January 25

3.1 mi(run)/29:59/Nice slow morning run with NO hills. I felt pretty good and the adductor felt much better than my previous two runs. I am trying not to stretch the adductor muscles as I feel like I may have strained it with all the stretching. I did have a good workout with weights this morning and did some leg extensions as well.

2.9 mi(run)/27:33/Another run where I took my time and ran very easy and slow. I walked the bigger hills and ran the smaller ones. The adductor felt OK, but still a little sore. I also got some good stretching in after the run.

Thursday/January 21

2.2 mi(run)/21:15/Oh, to be running again! It wasn't my fastest run, but at least I am running again. My adductor was pretty sore afterwards and actually it was sore during the run. I really ran a slow pace and did some stretching after the run. Also, I did a couple of leg machines with weights to strengthen my quads and hamstrings.

Saturday/January 9, 2010

Today was my 12th day of REST with absolutely NO RUNNING! I am feeling pretty good and the adductor is definitely getting the much deserved REST!. I am so looking forward to January 20, my first day of running.

Resting...

Well, it has been 1 whole week since my last run. Wow, I am so ready to hit the pavement again. I will continue to rest and workout for another 2 weeks and then re-evaluate my situation. So far, so good though and I do think the rest is making a difference!
